System Leads
Alex Dhawan | Team Lead | Class of 2025
Mechanical Engineering Major
As Team Lead, I aim to enable my teammates to deliver a rules-compliant, well-integrated, and high-performing vehicle that will maximize our points at competition. I serve as a technical leader for decision-making across vehicle systems and handle day-to-day administrative matters. Outside of FSAE, I enjoy cycling and playing jazz piano. Professionally, I'm interested in tech startups and electromechanical design.
Albert He | Chassis Team Lead | Class of 2024
Mechanical Engineering Major
As Chassis lead, I am in charge of leading the mechanical systems of the vehicle and ensuring the smooth integration of components onto the chassis. Our chassis sub-teams consist of Aerodynamics, Ergonomics, Monocoque, suspension and Unsprung; all seeking to maximize vehicle safety and performance. Despite coming from a mechanical background, I’ve developed a deep interest using analytical software to help analyzing engineering decisions. Outside of FSAE I am an avid mountain biker, weightlifter, and humanoid robotics enthusiast.
Jason Heller | Powertrain Team Lead | Class of 2025
Electrical & Computer Engineering Major
In my role as the Powertrain Lead, I am responsible for the electrical system of the vehicle. This includes the safety, reliability, and day-to-day use of the team’s custom PCBs, high voltage battery pack, wiring, and all other miscellaneous electronics that power a Cornell Racing vehicle. Previously on FSAE, I was the Low Voltage subteam lead and a PCB part designer. Outside of the team, I enjoy rock climbing, playing squash, and working on virtual reality hardware and software development.
Camila Alaña | Business Team Lead | Class of 2025
Mechanical Engineering Major
As Business Lead at Cornell Racing, I work with the other system leads to manage the team and establish high level vehicle goals and timelines. I also oversee the business subteam which is responsible for the team’s financial accounting/budgeting, procurement, sponsor relations, media and marketing, and creating the competition business case. Outside of Cornell Racing, I’m passionate about film and videography, rock climbing, and motorsport (Papaya rules).
